The Brooklyn Art Library Sketchbook Project
Among other things, I'm currently working on my sketchbook project from The Brooklyn Art Library. According to the BAL, The Sketchbook Project is the world's largest library of artist's books, crowd-sourced from every corner of the globe. You can order their sketchbook and draw, write, collage, cut, print, photograph, paint or whatever you would like to do. Just start with an idea or theme and you are ready. Once completed the sketchbook get cataloged into the library system where others can preview them in person and online.
I'm interpreting various nebula images taken by NASA's Hubble and Spitzer Space Telescopes. My medium is pastel, size is 6x4.5 on pastelmat. When completed, I will have 15 images filling the pages of the book.
